Beginner, Intermediate, & Advanced Trips - August 6 & 7, 2022

On Saturday August 6th and Sunday August 7th the club will host beginner, intermediate and advanced trips. Those interested who have not already done so can sign up using the calendar functionality of the club website or by sending an email to: .

  • The beginner trip participants will meet at 10:00 AM at the Buena Vista Whitewater Park parking at the end of East Main Street. We will paddle down to Fisherman's Bridge.
  • The intermediate trip participants will meet at 1:00 PM at Fisherman's Bridge and paddle the Brown's Canyon section of the Arkansas.
  • The advanced trip participants will meet on Sunday the 7th at 10:00 AM at the Railroad Bridge access to paddle the Numbers section of the Arkansas.

Introduction to River Running Class
June 4 and 5 

Come prepared to learn some paddle strokes, how to ferry, how to eddy turn, and plan your way down a river! For those of you that attended pool sessions and those that want to learn to paddle white water, PPWC will be offering an Introduction to River Running class 10:00 AM, June 4th and 5th at the Pueblo Nature Center, conditions permitting*. 

Participants must be PPWC members in good standing and must also be members of American Canoe Association (ACA). If you're not already a member of PPWC, join here. To become a member of the ACA, go to: https://americancanoe.org/join/individuals to register.

The cost of this class per participant is $125.00. To pay, bring $125 cash or check (to Pikes Peak Whitewater Club) to the first day of class.

*Conditions Permitting means we reserve the right to make last minute changes to the dates and venue to make this event a positive learning experience for all.
